Hazmat Training Comes to Baltimore

May 19, 2008 - When workers handle hazardous waste or ship hazardous materials,
training is not just a good idea, it's the law. According to the EPA, workers who
handle hazardous waste must be trained annually, and the federal DOT requires that
workers involved in the shipment of hazardous materials be trained at least every
three years. Personnel who ship hazardous materials by air or water must receive
training mandated by the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) and
International Maritime Organization (IMO) every two years. In addition, SARA Title
III (Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know) requires you to inform your
surrounding community about your facility\'s hazardous substances and releases -
accidental and permitted.

9 - 13, 2008. Classes begin at 8am and end at 5pm each day.

SARA Title III will be taught on June 9, 2008.

Hazardous Waste Management: The Complete Course will be taught on June 10 and 11.

Hazardous Materials Certification Training for DOT 49 CFR Transportation Regulations
will be taught on June 12.

IATA/IMO will be taught on June 13, 2008.
